Mobile Music Theatre for Gregory Charles
Canadian singer and entertainer Gregory Charles needed a mobile music theatre for his “Vintage Show” — a venue with 1,000 seats, a large performance stage, and the ability to travel the world.
Concerts anywhere, anytime
To meet this challenge, Charles selected a high-volume temporary structure that could be set up and taken down within just a few days. The Eventhall Palas was the ideal solution: with its cubic architecture, expansive horizontal glass façade, and spacious, elegant layout, it offered the perfect balance of style and practicality.
Its versatility, eight-metre side height and premium “Made in Germany” finish — combined with its mobility — were key reasons behind Charles’ decision to partner with Losberger De Boer.
Technical details
The Losberger De Boer Eventhall Palas spans 25.5 metres in width, has a side height of 8 metres and a length of 55 metres, creating approximately 1,500 m² of usable space. It features a 2.5-metre-high perimeter fascia, a 25 x 55 metre cassette floor, two mezzanines (20 m x 5 m x 4 m) with stair access, and a double-layer thermal roof. The exterior includes horizontal glass panels and vertical black PVC cassette walls.
A world premiere in Montreal
With the support of an experienced Losberger De Boer site manager and skilled crew, the Palas was installed on schedule in just ten days.
The “Vintage Theatre” had its world premiere on May 29, 2013, at Jacques Cartier Pier in the Old Port of Montreal. Both media and audience were enthusiastic about the debut performance and the unique event venue.
A total of 47 shows were planned in Montreal before the mobile music theatre continued its global tour.
