Full event infrastructure delivered for a first-time venue transition
The BRIT Awards is one of the UK’s most high-profile music events, combining live performance, broadcast production, and large-scale hospitality.
When the event moved to Manchester for the first time, a complete site setup was required at Co-op Live to support both audience experience and behind-the-scenes operations.
The Challenge
With no existing event infrastructure in place, a fixed event date, and full public and broadcast visibility, a complete environment needed to be delivered — supporting red carpet, artist areas, catering, production, and security — all within a tight timeframe and ready for immediate use.
The Solution
Over 5,000 sqm of structures were delivered across the site, covering both front-of-house and back-of-house functions. This included the VIP entrance and red carpet, artist village, crew catering, security and operational zones, technical storage, and an external performance area.
Full access infrastructure, including platforms, steps, and ramps, was integrated throughout the site, ensuring safe and efficient movement for guests, staff, and production teams.
The layout supported clear zoning and smooth flow, allowing all areas to function together without congestion or disruption.
The Outcome
The site was delivered fully operational and ready for use across all areas from day one.
For the client, this meant the BRIT Awards could be delivered in a new location with full control over flow, timing, and operations — without the need for on-site troubleshooting. Guests, artists, and production teams could move through the site smoothly, without congestion or disruption, allowing the event to run as expected both on-site and on screen.
