A crystal palace in the woods: Stamford Tent wins IAA Award with Woodland Wonderland
Our client, Stamford Tent & Event Services, has been awarded the 2025 IAA Outstanding Achievement Award in Private Tent Rental for their extraordinary Woodland Wonderland installation. We congratulate their entire team on this prestigious recognition.
To help realise their ambitious vision, Stamford Tent selected our Levo structure – a clearspan solution known for its striking design and structural precision.
The vision: a luxury glass venue, deep in the forest
The client’s brief was anything but ordinary: create a "crystal palace" to host 350 guests across multiple high-end events, seamlessly integrated into a forest setting at a luxury resort.
Stamford Tent responded with a bold and technically complex plan. At the heart of the concept stood a 25m x 40m Levo conservatory with glass wall panels and a 5m x 5m glass foyer - designed to flood the space with light while framing the surrounding nature.
Additional demands included:
- A fully reinforced subfloor to support a 35,000 lb. rotating stage
- Integration of HVAC and lighting infrastructure
- The use of cranes and specialised machinery to manoeuvre heavy glass components
- Concealing all back-of-house tents from guest view—ultimately resolved by replacing standard white units with black tents that blended into the wooded backdrop

Final touches such as mature landscaping and strategic lighting completed the illusion: the structure appeared to rise naturally from the forest floor. The result was an event space that combined nature, design, and engineering — all executed under high pressure, across multiple build sites.
