Creating Unique Events With a Custom Venue Design

Published on

Are you looking to create a unique event venue design? Whether you want your event building to be fully branded, match a theme, blend in with the background or stand-out from the crowd, we can help you to reach your goals by creating a one-of-a-kind design.

Add Branding To Your Temporary Event Building

Let your brand take center stage by integrating branding in your event venue design. Our experts can help you design a fully branded venue, exhibition space or VIP hospitality building that lets your brand (or your client’s) stand out. As a centennial company who has been present at countless world-class events, we have a wealth of experience in delivering event buildings with a wow-factor that lets you communicate your brand values.

Building Your Brand Identity
At a large trade fair, where you are competing for the attention of visitors with lots of other brands, sometimes even competitors, you need a visible presence that underlines your brand identity. At the BAUMA in Munich, Germany, the largest outdoor exhibition in the world, we have helped countless exhibitors create their own ‘brand zone’, by creating a wide range of custom event venue designs with fully branded exteriors. This made it easy for brands to communicate their identity, and be instantly recognizable from a distance.

Strengthen Your Partnerships
At major sport events, a fully branded hospitality building will help strengthen the connection between your brand and the event, especially if your VIP pavilion also offers a great view of the action, as is the case with tennis, golf and motorsports events. We can make sure your building stands out and lets your brand shine in a way that still matches the look and feel of the event itself.

Another perfect example of what a contemporary design and clever use of branding elements can do for you, is a project we did for Longines at the Commonwealth Games. The brand wanted to celebrate the achievements of athletes during the games, and to that end, we delivered the spectacular beachside Longines Records Club. The use of glass elements, interior and exterior branding in combination with a stylish terrace, created a look that was both high-end and elegant, and fitted perfectly with the location near the beach.

Another example of custom branding: at the famous 24h races at LeMans, we created a bespoke hospitality building that allowed Aston Martin to positively shine, as there was simply no way to miss the massive, fully branded triple-decker we delivered:

Thinking Inside of the Box
A creative design feature that has become increasingly popular, is the so-called box-design. Its shape alone makes it stand out against more traditional event buildings, as well as offer unprecedented branding possibilities.

In essence, the entire box is your canvas. Box-shaped event buildings are also very suitable to be used as a black-box, which means that no natural light can enter the building. This makes box-venues perfectly suited for presentations, showcases and gaming. A perfect example of a free-form design is the box-shaped building for Porsche, which was decorated creatively to draw attention to the new cars that were showcased inside.

Another example of a box-shape being used to maximum effect, is the FOS Future Lab, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where a futuristic design was used to attract attention and to draw people in.

Blending In With The Scenery
When you work with Losberger De Boer, your venue or hospitality building is never out of place.

Most of the times, you want to draw as much attention as possible to your venue or hospitality building. But there are exceptions. For instance, when the scenery is so stunning that you just want your event building to blend in with its beautiful surroundings.

In that case, the use of transparent panels, light decorations and a classy, yet minimalistic design is often the way to go. Another great way to make sure your venue is never out of place, is to use facades to mimic the look and feel of a building that traditionally belongs there. For an important summit, which was held at the foot of a European mountain range, all buildings were made to look like a typical mountain village retreat – despite this being a temporary event setup.

Themed Event Designs
How far can the use of facades take you, in terms of design? Well, anywhere you want to. We can even take you back to Victorian era France, if that helps you create the perfect event. Our design specialists can always help you create a stunning setting that matches the theme of your event.

For a high-end party, our client Alta Expo transformed a typical event structure into a full-blown, historically accurate and impressive castle, which was dubbed ‘Chateau Nicolas’.
